A workout instructor I enjoy often says, “The hardest part of the workout is ‘check, done!’—because you showed up.” I want to offer that same acknowledgment to you for finding your way here. Simply being on this page means you’ve already taken a meaningful step toward change.

Seeking therapy is an expression of openness—of being willing to move toward something different. With gentle guidance, I support you in exploring new ways of thinking and feeling so you can have new experiences that, over time, help rewire the brain and soften patterns rooted in trauma. As this unfolds, many clients begin to reconnect with a more authentic, grounded sense of self that has always been there.

Most of us carry some degree of trauma. Sometimes it shows up in subtle ways: difficulty speaking up, a need for control, uncertainty about your own wants and needs, a sense of emptiness, people-pleasing to keep the peace, impulsivity, or feeling emotionally restricted—or at times overwhelmed. If you’re wanting to show up differently in your life, therapy can be a powerful place to begin.

My style is warm, genuine, and direct. I value bringing my full humanity into the room and strive to create a space where you feel supported and understood. I aim to show up grounded and regulated, offering a steady presence as you move through your healing process. It is an honor to hear your story and to witness your growth.

I immigrated from South Korea at the age of 12, thus bilingual and bicultural. I am a mother to grown children. I love learning and helping others discover things they hadn’t known before. I also love an active lifestyle and at the moment, am into playing pickleball.

CREDENTIALS & APPROACH

I maintain a Licensed Clinical Social Work license in the State of Oregon and have a Masters degree in Social Work from New York University.

I utilize the following modalities:

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy: using bilateral stimulation to regulate nervous system and resolve trauma stored in the body

  • Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy: attachment-focused processing of deep emotions and trauma healing

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: for restructuring of maladaptive beliefs, thoughts and behaviors to improve emotional distress

  • Parts work, Ego states, Inner child work to repair and re-establish connection to the healthy, core self

  • Brainspotting: for processing trauma and deep emotions

WHO I WORK WITH
I work with adults- ages 14 and up, BIPOC, neurodivergent clients, Christian faith background, women navigating midlife health/family/relational/identity issues.

I specialize in working with trauma: both acute (emotional pain incurred from a one time, big event such as rape, car accident, injury, natural disaster, cancer experience, etc.) and complex PTSD (prolonged mistreatment/abuse/neglect/negative emotional experiences of sorts, either act done to them or was omitted of the nurturance or attention one needed as a child) resulting in various types of anxiety - fear/panic disorders/phobias/social anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, etc.

Overcoming mental health challenges are rarely possible done alone because we are social animals. Relational trauma occurs in company and also heals in company. Complex emotions such as guilt and shame are undone when you share your vulnerability with a trusted other in the context of safety. When you feel your inner knowing nudging you, I’d love to connect. I’d love to accompany you in your journey of healing and self-discovery.
