The Mental Health Counselor position requires a diverse set of skills to effectively support individuals in need of mental health services as part of a busy and supportive practice, Senua Counseling Clinic. Senua Counseling Clinic is a thriving, trauma-informed group practice based in Lake Oswego, Oregon. We’re a team of passionate, down-to-earth clinicians who care deeply about creating an inclusive, client-centered space — for both our clients and our team.

This position is hybrid and open to full-time (20+ clinical hours/week) clinicians. Candidates must reside in Oregon and hold a Masters degree from a CACREP-accredited program.

About the Role

We’re currently looking for a pre-licensed clinicians to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide outpatient counseling to individuals, couples, and families, with the support of experienced licensed supervisors and a collaborative peer community.

You’ll be able to build a caseload that reflects your interests while developing your skills, getting quality supervision, and working in an environment that values your voice, your well-being, and your growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families (20–24 sessions/week to start)

  • Complete intake assessments, assign diagnoses, and create treatment plans

  • Keep up with progress notes, treatment reviews, and other documentation (don’t worry - we’ll help you stay on track)

  • Work with families and care teams when needed to support client goals

  • Attend individual supervision with your Board registered Supervisor and connect with a community of peers

  • Maintain your records in line with HIPAA and clinic policies

What We’re Looking For

  • A master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy (from a CACREP-accredited program)

  • Currently living in Oregon

  • Registered with the appropriate licensing board (or in the process of registering)

  • Experience (through internships or jobs) completing intake assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation

  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to ethical, inclusive care

  • Comfortable working with a diverse range of clients

  • Willingness to work with children and couples

  • Organized, reliable, and ready to grow in your clinical work

This position is hybrid and open to full-time (20+ clinical hours/week) clinicians. Candidates must reside in Oregon and hold an active Oregon license.

About the Role

As a therapist at Senua Counseling Clinic, you will provide psychosocial assessments and offer both short-term and long-term therapy to a diverse outpatient population. Our clients include children, teens, adults, couples, and families. This is a unique opportunity to work with highly motivated individuals in a collaborative and supportive setting that values clinical autonomy and professional growth. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide individual mental health counseling in an outpatient setting 20 or more hours per week.

  • Intake paperwork for services including biopsychosocial assessments, assessment for medical necessity, provide/clarify diagnosis, and create and implement initial treatment plans.

  • Complete ongoing documentation in a timely manner including assessments, re-assessment of diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, progress notes, and other documentation as appropriate according to company policy/protocol and client needs.

  • Provide excellent clinical services for clients through the use of creativity and innovative therapy tools to help clients achieve and exceed their goals.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

  • Coordinate services/referrals and collaborate with families and professional supports, as needed.

  • Collaborate with a dynamic and passionate team to further the mission of filling the gaps in our community.
