MA, LPC

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Finding ourselves, re-learning patterns and committing to our truth is no easy feat, and I am here to help. I strive to create a space that feels collaborative, non-judgmental, honest and supportive. Many of us have been shut down from our feelings for different reasons, and it can be overwhelming to get in touch with this emotional center. I am honored to provide space where we can explore this center, without judgment or shame. As a therapist, I bring a direct, warm and authentic approach, maintaining a focus on your goals while also helping to highlight areas of possible growth.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 3 dogs and 3 cats. Eventually, we hope to have an animal sanctuary on the land we steward, and treat every day as a gift. You might also find me crocheting, reading, singing or cooking (I love Indian food!).

CREDENTIALS & APPROACH

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Adams State University in Southern Oregon. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Idaho. I have experience working with teenagers and adults in many different settings ranging from inpatient, intensive outpatient and outpatient.

My foundations lie in a holistic, person-centered and trauma-informed approach, integrating many helpful tools and interventions from modalities such as dialectical behavioral therapy - a technique focused on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and mindfulness. Each client is unique, and I tailor my approach based on your individualized needs and goals.

WHO I WORK WITH
My passion lies in working with older teens, adults and couples, who want a more actualized, empowered life. My hope is to help guide you beyond a diagnosis or label, where we can navigate how to become your most authentic self.

I specialize in:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Behavioral challenges and emotional dysregulation in older teens (16+) and adults

  • Grief and loss (including pet loss)

  • Spirituality and existentialism

  • Transitional phases and change

  • Relationships and couples counseling

  • Supporting adult children and their families through family dysfunction and conflict

It is a great honor to be a witness to my client’s process and their growth. I hope we connect soon and thank you for considering me as your therapist!
