Hannah Bushner
MSW, LCSW
Licensed Mental Health Therapist
Thank you for reaching out and considering me as your therapist.
Life is full of change and often, it can be disorienting; like suddenly finding yourself on a rocky mountain you've never been to before, without a map or a compass. Therapy is an opportunity to slow down and get curious about the path you are on and the direction you want to head. My role is to walk alongside you collaboratively on your unique journey. I offer a warm, mindful presence, deep listening and gentle, supportive guidance as you move in the direction of your choosing.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Thanatologist with several years of experience working with individuals and their family members coping with terminal diagnoses, pre-death grief, and bereavement. I also have experience supporting Veterans living with cancer, and sexual assault survivors. My approach is to create a safe space, allowing you to sit with change, and helping you re-orient yourself. I use an eclectic, trauma-informed, person-centered approach, influenced by ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
If you are going through change, whether it is a life transition, grief/loss, relationship issues, or you are feeling depression, anxiety or stress, I am here to honor tools you already have, and to help you develop new ones, as you navigate this rocky terrain with increased feelings of confidence, empowerment, and connection. Together, we can learn to identify, and maybe even appreciate the wildflowers that only grow in rocky soil.
