MC, LPC

Licensed Mental Health Therapist

Taking the first step toward counseling can feel challenging, and it’s natural to have mixed emotions. By being here, you’ve already shown courage and a willingness to explore change, and I’m honored to walk alongside you. I strive to create a space where you feel truly understood, supported, and free to grow at your own pace. Together, we can explore your goals, recognize your strengths, and work toward the meaningful changes you want in your life.

I believe growth happens when you feel truly understood, accepted, and met with honesty. My approach is grounded in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity, creating a trusted space where you can explore your goals, strengths, and vulnerabilities with honest feedback. Together, we work toward the changes you desire in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment.

When I’m not working, I love producing music, playing sports and games with others, and exploring the outdoors.

CREDENTIALS & APPROACH
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Illinois University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon. I have 11 years of diverse clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient, school, assisted-living, and hospital settings.

My primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns to better navigate internal and external stress. For more specific anxiety-related concerns, I utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and systematic desensitization therapies to help others confront and tolerate their fears in a graduated, safe way. For children, adolescents, and adults experiencing intense and difficult to manage emotions, as well as difficulty communicating and setting boundaries, I utilize skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

WHO I WORK WITH
I work with children (ages 8 and up), adolescents, and adults. I have significant experience supporting LGBTQIA+ youth and adults, including particular experience supporting the trans community. I provide an affirming space to the neurodiverse community and support individuals with autism and executive dysfunction

I specialize in:

  • Anxiety disorders, including trauma, OCD, and specific phobias

  • Mood disorders

  • Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), including Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder
