Victoria Kim
MA, Professional Counselor Associate
Mental Health Therapist
Thank you for reaching out and considering me as your therapist.
I offer a safe and collaborative space to support you through difficult life experiences. It is my belief that change is possible regardless of your life circumstances and that by nurturing an environment of acceptance, it can create the conditions for change. I believe every individual has the inherent capacity to grow and my role as the therapist is to provide the tools to facilitate that growth and understanding. In our therapeutic journey, we will work collaboratively to discover the ways that you are living in accordance with your values, and to make choices that lead to a more meaningful life.
My approach to therapy is client-centered and I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness. Occasionally I will draw from other theoretical orientations and utilize an integrated approach based on the needs of the client..
I hold a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Portland State University. As a therapist, I strive to provide a space where individuals of all salient identity expressions feel heard, understood, and accepted. I specialize in working with individuals who are seeking support with concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, interpersonal issues, and trauma.
Thank you for choosing me as your therapist. I am honored to be a part of your journey!
