Life can sometimes feel overwhelming or hard to make sense of. However when what we’re going through is truly seen and understood, something often begins to shift—the weight feels a little lighter, and we don’t have to carry it alone. In a safe and supportive relationship, it becomes possible to slow down, face what’s been difficult, and reconnect with yourself in a more meaningful way. If you’re here, a part of you may already be moving in that direction.
My Style: attuned, experiential, intuitive
I tend to work in a way that prioritizes helping you feel deeply met and understood. I pay close attention to emotions, body sensations, and the subtle shifts that happen moment to moment, because I believe meaningful change comes from experiencing something new.
With adults, I support you in accessing deeper emotional experiences, understanding protective patterns, and building a more compassionate relationship with yourself. Many people I work with feel overwhelmed or disconnected, and together we slow things down to gently make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface.
With children, I understand that they may not have the words to express what they’re going through, so I meet them through play and care—creating a space where they can process big feelings and feel more secure in themselves. My goal is not only to support your child in session, but to help strengthen the connection between you and your child in everyday life.
One of the most meaningful parts of this work for me is the relationship I build with my clients and the privilege of witnessing their growth over time. Being part of that process—of healing, change, and becoming—is something I hold with deep care and respect.
CREDENTIALS & APPROACH
I received my counseling degree from Johns Hopkins University and currently practice in Oregon. My work is grounded in experiential and trauma-informed approaches, and is primarily informed by:
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), an approach that supports emotional healing through feeling understood and safe in the relationship
Internal Family Systems (IFS), which helps make sense of different parts of you and how they interact
Play Therapy, which allows children to express and process their inner world through play
I continue to deepen my training so I can show up more fully for the people I work with.
WHO I WORK WITH
I work with children (as young as 3), adolescents, and adults. I offer therapy in both English and Mandarin and welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Adults
I specialize in:
Anxiety and depression
Emotional overwhelm, numbness, and difficulty processing feelings
Feeling disconnected from yourself or unsure how to access your emotions
Trauma (both big and small experiences that may still be affecting you today)
Life transitions and periods of change
Children and Adolescents
Children with big feelings, behavioral challenges, and difficulty expressing or understanding their emotions
Anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, and life transitions
Neurodivergent children (including ADHD, autism, and those who experience the world differently)
Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or your child, you don’t have to have everything figured out before starting. Therapy can be a place to slow down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what’s been hard. When you’re ready, I’d be glad to connect and support you in that process.
