Miki Hunter

MA, NCC, LPC

Licensed Mental Health Therapist

Thank you for reaching out and considering me as your therapist.

Taking the first steps towards wellness and change can be overwhelming. My goal is to create a space where individuals can feel safe to share  their struggles, and build skills to cope with the various challenges that life throws their way.  I am inspired by seeing my clients change in positive ways, better their lives, and improve their well-being.

I have experience in working with teens and adults of all ages, and their families. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I specialize in trauma treatment and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also like to incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Family Systems Theory in my practice. I work with individuals who are dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and a variety of other struggles and conditions.

No matter the circumstances surrounding someone’s situation, I believe that a therapist and a client are a team. As a therapist, I believe it is my role to walk alongside and support individuals as they achieve their goals and move forward in their lives.

The journey begins here - With time, effort, and teamwork.
