Reaching out for help is never easy, but it’s so incredibly important! I am so glad you are here and I am honored for the opportunity to work with you towards your goals. I love every second I get to witness and experience what clients bring to therapy.  As a mental health therapist, I work from a client centered, integrative approach. The body and mind are greatly connected and intertwined, which is why I believe in a holistic approach to mental health care.  I am happy and honored to provide you with a safe and healing space for you to tell your story, set goals, and discover the person you were meant to be.

I am an empathetic therapist with a warm and collaborative approach. Therapy is not always easy, but it should always feel safe. I believe that we need to work together, as a team, to help you process your feelings and experiences, learn to trust yourself, and work towards your therapeutic goals so that you can become the best version of yourself.

Therapy has been an important part of my life for a long time, because I have also been a client since I was 14 years old. I was diagnosed as a teen with panic disorder and it turned my world upside down. I was able to see a wonderful therapist who helped me learn to believe in myself again and learn to cope, and she inspired me to do what I do today. When I am not working I enjoy spooky movies, working out, singing loud alternative rock songs at karaoke, and spending time with my 3 wonderful rescue cats and my husband.

CREDENTIALS & APPROACH
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Portland State University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Oregon and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of California. I am also an Approved Supervisor in Oregon for Counseling Associates.

I utilize several approaches in my work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help reframe unhelpful thought patterns, Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), which helps secure a healthier view of your self and strengths.  EFT is also helpful working with couples to build secure attachment, express emotions and learn better communication skills.

When you are ready to take that next step, I would love to connect with you for a first visit. I look forward to meeting you!
