My Story

Katherine Hennessy

MA, LPC, CADC I

Mental Health Therapist

Nothing has been more exciting and gratifying for me as a therapist than the moment I can see someone recognizing the patterns and thoughts which have been keeping them from the happiness and joyful life they deserve. Those moments can be the spark that starts a whole new way of thinking and living for someone. In a world that is too often filled with negative emotions and destructive behavior, every new spark that can help change the way a single person feels and acts can help other too. Every great journey begins with a single step.

I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Oregon and am a certified drug and alcohol counselor. I have spent several years working with individuals and their families at all stages of life, from childhood through late adulthood, the majority of whom have experienced intergenerational trauma. Much of my work with clients has been focused on overcoming the effects of trauma, gaining insight into behavior patterns that may be effecting their mental health and learning healthy ways to cope with daily stressors.

I take a client-centered approach to therapy and greatly value the use of creativity in my work with you. I would be honored to help you begin your own journey.
