Jess Barton

During uncertain times, we all need support and I have spent my career being there for my clients. For 15 years I worked in hospitals around Portland with clients of all ages, providing counseling for those struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, mood disorders, PTSD and addictions. I obtained my Masters of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago.

I believe in a client-centered and strength based approach in working with individuals. I believe it is important to place an emphasis on an individual's strengths and self-determination.

My number one priority is to provide a safe place for all the individuals that I work with. I am a great listener and strive to meet individuals where they are at, allowing there to be a safe place for individuals to discuss their needs, wants and concerns is my first priority. I believe the greatest gift we can give ourselves is love and compassion.
