Licensed Mental Health Therapist

Life can feel overwhelming at times, like you are stuck in survival mode and just treading water. Reaching a point where you start looking for support often means you have been carrying a lot on your own. Even considering help is a meaningful first step toward something shifting.

I take a systematic approach to building practical strategies that make the uncomfortable feel more manageable. We stay curious about what is beneath the surface, slowing things down to name what you’re feeling so it starts to lose its grip. I believe people heal through awareness, and when you can name what is going on, you can begin to work with it instead of feeling controlled by it.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent eight years as a professional ballet dancer, which deeply shaped my sense of discipline and my connection to the mind and body. That awareness still carries into how I show up today. Outside of therapy, I value exploration, whether that is hiking, traveling, or simply saying yes to something new that keeps me curious and grounded.

CREDENTIALS & APPROACH
I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of San Diego and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oregon. I have eight years of experiences working with adults and youth in multiple settings: school-based, partial in-patient, and out-patient.

My therapeutic approach utilizes the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework by focusing on strategies that foster change in one’s thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while creating more adaptive beliefs about the self, others, and the world. I pull from Internal Family Systems (IFS) that explores and identifies parts of the self that cause distress and dysfunction while building a stronger connect with the sense-of-self. Additionally, I am trained in the trauma-focused protocol Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) which incorporates bilateral stimulation to reprocess past hardships.

WHO I WORK WITH
I provide individual therapy to youth, adolescents, and adults and have experience working with the neurodiverse and LGBTIA+ populations.

I specialize in:

  • Anxiety Disorders that perpetuates avoidance

  • Depression and diminished self-esteem

  • Behavioral challenges and emotional dysregulation in youth

  • Interpersonal skills that promote conflict resolution and communication

  • Strengthening executive functioning skills

Reaching out can be the hardest part, especially when things already feel heavy or uncertain. If this way of approaching mental health resonates with you, you don’t have to keep holding it on your own. When you’re ready, you can take that next step in whatever way feels most comfortable, whether that’s sending a message, asking a question, or setting up a time to talk.
