Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Deciding to reach out for support can feel overwhelming, and is a meaningful act of courage. If you’re here, something in you is already reaching for change, even if you’re not sure what that looks like yet. I create a space that feels safe, genuine, and grounded in respect, where you don’t have to have everything figured out to begin.

My approach is empathic, direct, and strengths-based. I support you in making sense of your thoughts, deepening understanding of emotions, and navigating life transitions, relationships, and mental health challenges. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real, collaborative relationship where you feel both supported and understood.

Life can be messy and complicated, and everyone deserves a space where they feel heard and supported without judgment. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my children and spouse, trying new vegetarian restaurants, using my library card, and unwinding with a good TV show.

CREDENTIALS & APPROACH

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Oregon and Texas. I have experience working across outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), and psychiatric hospitalization settings, supporting individuals and families through a wide range of needs.

I use an integrative approach that incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify, challenge, and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors; Play Therapy to support children in developing coping skills, improving social skills, and fostering emotional growth; Systemic Family Therapy to explore and restructure patterns within family and relationship dynamics; and Feminist Therapy, a collaborative, person-centered approach that examines how social, cultural, and power dynamics influence mental health.

WHO I WORK WITH

I work with children (6+), adolescents, adults, families, and couples, and I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I also have specialized experience working with older adults (65+). I often support clients navigating identity, relationships, anxiety, depression, and life transitions, and I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

I specialize in:

  • Anxiety and mood disorders

  • Identity exploration and self-discovery

  • Conflict and communication challenges

  • Self-esteem and personal growth

  • Behavioral challenges and emotional dysregulation

  • LGBTQIA+ identity development and family acceptance

Starting therapy doesn’t require having it all figured out. When you’re ready, I’m here to listen!
