My Story

Kristel Boswood

M. Ed, LPC

Mental Health Therapist

Being present in every moment takes practice.  Often we find ourselves on autopilot, going through the motions.  If you can find awareness and be purposefully present, you can find a greater sense of peace and joy in your life.  This mindfulness-based approach is the foundation of the work I enjoy doing with my clients.  Over my ten years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have worked with individuals, couples, and teenagers to help them on their therapeutic goals in a safe, supportive and caring environment.

I love working with clients from diverse backgrounds and with a wide-range of challenges and I work with every individual to develop a unique and effective approach to helping them achieve their goals.  I am also experienced and trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Brainspotting techniques, both of which are highly-successful treatments for trauma recovery.  I have experience working with military families, veterans and anyone who has experienced trauma in their lives.

If you are experiencing a life transition, anxiety, depression, a chronic illness or you are wanting to recovery from trauma or achieve other goals in therapy, I would love to help you achieve the healthy life and fulfilling relationships you want.
