My Story

Kayla Elsahili

LCSW, Ph.D.

Mental Health Therapist

I strive to build a fun, approachable, and personalized rapport with each individual I see – no two clients are ever the same. Your diagnosis is only a word, but you are you, and we build our therapeutic relationship and treatment plan based off of that.

My areas of clinical expertise are in treating eating disorders, trauma, ADHD and autism, and gender identity/transitioning but I also enjoy working with clients ages 5+ on other issues such as depression/anxiety and family dynamics.

My personal and clinical focuses stem from a trauma-informed and social justice lens, and therefore I am thrilled to work with BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals to help explore issues around gender and racial identity, inequality/inequity, and processing current events. I also provide assessment and letters for gender affirmation surgery, if so desired.

And lastly, who I am as a person: I’m a multiracial, millennial, Aries female. While I did attend graduate school on the East coast and spent some lovely years over there, I am originally from Portland. When I am not busy being a therapist, I love spending time with my husband and daughter, traveling, Pilates, sushi, skincare, and trying out new coffee shops.
